Richard R. Wiggins was born on October 7, 1933 in Greenwich, CT, graduating from Greenwich High School in 1952, and from RCA Institutes in 1960. He was employed by CBS News in 1964 as a sound tech for CBS Reports, and in 1968 for 60 Minutes with Harry Reasoner & Mike Wallace, retiring from CBS in 1989.
