There are 5 parts to this fine book, and each one is concise and educational. Among the topics covered are harmony, chords, moving bass lines, improvising, blues, Joe Pass phrases, Joe Pass transcribed guitar solos, and Joe Pass and Herb Ellis jazz duets.

If your local librarian carries this type of material, urge your librarian to order a copy of COMPLETE JOE PASS for inclusion in the Public Library for its jazz patrons. A complete, indepth book such as this does not come along too often, and buy a copy when you can and surprise yourself with learning more about that jazz guitar master Joe Passs stylings.
