This spiral bound paperback is a welcome addition for those who enjoy collections of the old standards. It has everything to make for an enjoyable session at home or in public for the avid jazz guitarist.

The book is a complete approach to playing the tunes with lead sheet, chord melody solo, comping backup, and single-line improvisation. With over twenty songs, this is a nice reference to have in the home library.

Among the many great songs in the collection are "April In Paris, "As Times Goes By, "Bluesette," "But Not For Me," "Embraceable You," "Misty," "My Funny valentine," "Night and Day," "Someone To Watch Over Me," "The Way You Look Tonight," and "You Go To My Head." This is a fine selection for the guitarist, one that will give many hours of pure entertainment. Highly recommended.A fine collection of standards to make for an enjoyable session of entertainment!
