As a reviewer, it is always a distinct pleasure to come across something that is classic and perfect all in one package! Such is the case with this 2 CD set featuring the guitar genius of Charlie Byrd. These are classic Byrd songs, each one is a showcase for his talent.

This collection contains the original releases in whole of "Sugarloaf Suite" released during 1980, and "Brazilville" released in 1982. There are eight songs in the collection.

Among these guitar gems are found "Primeira Palava" ("The First Word"), "Triste," "Saudade De Bahia," "The Gentle Rain," "Brazilville," "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life," "How Insensitive," and "Yesterdays." Each song reflects the guitar wonder that is Byrd, and each song is a memorable performance.

For a fine and enjoyable look at the performances of Charlie Byrd, this is highly recommended. This is Charlie Byrd at his finest. Special songs in this collection you will want to listen to again and again include "The Gentle Rain" and "What Are You Doing The Rest of Your Life," among others.
