To The Stars by Chick Corea Elektric Band

Chick Corea is one of the world's great innovative jazz pianists, and composers. TO THE STARS reveals once again the multifaceted genius of this individual, inspired by the science fiction novel of the same name by L. Ron Hubbard.

Everything about these performances and compositions is topnotch and an enjoyable tour with Chick Corea and his Elektric Band. TO THE STARS reunites the original members of the Elektric Band, including guests artists Steve Wilson on soprano saxophone, Pernell Saturnino on percussion, and Gayle Moran Corea on vocals.

The collection contains seventeen songs. Among the many exciting performances are "Check Blast," "Mistress Luck -- A Portrait," "Alan Corday," "Hound of Heaven," and "Captain Jocelyn - The Pianist." For those interested in the genius of Chick Corea piano stylings, "Captain Jocelyn - the Pianist" will be a delightful journey for jazz listening.

This is a landmark CD by Chick Corea, definitely one of his very finest to date, and one that will give hours of listening entertainment. Highly recommended.
