Urban Groove by Marcus Johnson

As i normally do, often late night surfing the web for new information about various jazz artist, i found this site and entered into a contest at www.marcusjohnson.net. i named 3 people who had a tremendous impact on marcus's life and his decision to follow music, one was quincy jones, george duke last but not least gerald albright. Johnson a self taught keyboardist who drew inspiration from his mentors graduated in 1997 from Georgetown University with a Law degree and a Masters in Business Administration. when asked how he managed school in conjunction with a music career, he states that the will, desire and determination to suceed.Urban groove is the 4 cd release, the 2nd under his own recording label Marimelj. Urban groove shows his ability to touch diverse listeners from all music cultures.

Sandy Point my favorite which is track #6 this is a mid tempo instrumental song that is mixed with a little comtemporary jazz, r& b sound that has you swaying in your seat and can be a little seductive depending where you are when listening.
