Eddie M. by Eddie M.

On his new self-titled CD, Eddie M. shines, like a multifaceted gem. After years touring with names like Prince, Sheila E., Teena Marie, and most recently Eric Benet, Eddie M. steps into the spotlight with his saxophone and his voice.

This CD has a polished sound, which is the result of an artistic collaboration between Eddie M. and co-producers Bobby G., Steve LeGassick and Michael Price.

Eddie M.'s musical prowess is eclectic, it bounces between ballads and R&B flavored jazz, with a balance and cohesion fully demonstrated on this new CD. R&B artists Eric Benet and Karyn White lend vocals on the songs Girl To a Woman and Motown classic of What Does It Take.

Baby Leave The Lights On, is a sensuous and mellow mood song. What the guys in college days used to call a "mellowing up song."

Songs like My Love Goes with You and Don't Give Up On Love showcase Eddie's seductive baritone which is reminiscent of Brian McKnight; While the tunes Hey JJ, Divided Soul and In My Dreams showcase his rich floating saxophone style.

Zip Code is the tune with the funkiest beat, and jamming sax vibes. His rendition of sailing is familiar enough to bring to mind this pop and recycled smooth jazz hit, but Eddie M. brings something new to it with skilled flow of his sax.

When Eddie M. spoke of his own work he said, "I've been fortunate enough to work with some truly great artists. The experience has been very educational. I feel like I've spent a lot of time in the classroom and now I'm ready to Graduate. "Well this release just might put Eddie M. at the top of the class; his easy style could make him a crossover hit in several genres.
