Live at the Red Sea Jazz Festival by John Fedchock NY Sextet

Live at the Red Sea Jazz Festival is great jazz music, anywhere and most certainly anytime! All the arrangements are by John Fedchock for this live performance at Eilat, Israel. The music was originally recorded on August 26, 2008, but was not released until the year 2010.

Songs include "This Just In," "That's All Right," "Elvin's Empire," the intricate "Moon Alley," "Caravan," and the highly memorable "Not So New Blues" by John Fedchock. Every performance in this collection shines with brilliance and originality. Listening to John Fedchock's sensitive trombone expressions is a listening delight, and it shows how great an instrument the trombone is in a master's hand. Fedchock knows his instrument, and his trombone sings with pure emotion, and the impact is at once subtle and sublime. Splendid work from all concerned as readily heard on "This Just In."

Allen Farnham is there with his splendid piano stylings and a force all of his own! Every jazz artist on this CD is a master of his instrument, and whether playing solo or in harmony each is at the top of his form! Listening to "Caravan" shows them at their best.

I would recommend this CD to any jazz music lover who likes fresh, innovative music that is lively, and real! Wonderful collection!
