Review: TALK OF THE TOWN is an exceptional jazz vocals listening experience. The vocals are perfect, the musicians are playing great solo and group performances, and the mood is jazz at its finest. Jazz vocalist Bob Stewart has established himself as a major singer in contemporary jazz, and his voice is a memorable instrument to all those who have heard it.
There are fifteen songs on the CD collection. Among them are found "What A Wonderful World," "She's Funny That Way," "The One I Love Belongs To Somebody Else," "Stella By Starlight," "Solitude," "No Moon At All," "Autumn in New York," and "Easy Living."
The musicians accompanying Bob Stewart are among the best in contemporary jazz. Hank Jones on piano, Glenn Drewes on trumpet, Sir Roland Hanna on piano, Tedd Firth on piano, among others. This is a collection of jazz vocals to be savored and enjoyed, and it is Bob Stewart at his finest.
