I liked this guitar instruction book because it had a lot of useful information and songs to play. The information is to the point, easy to follow, and interesting. The learning experience offered is worthwhile. The CD contents include the songs "Dengozo," "Farewell Blues," "El Choclo," "The Sheik of Araby," "Estrellita," and "I Cried for You," recorded by Charlie Byrd and John Griggs. Arpeggios are covered in detail, as are fingerings and scales, and tone. This will be of interest to all guitarists, and those interested in the work of legendary guitarist Charlie Byrd. This is a first rate guitar instruction book, one to have in the library. Excellent.A fascinating look at jazz guitar through the eyes of Charlie Byrd and John Griggs makes JAZZ GUITAR WORKSHOP a worthwhile investment for guitarists. A nice reference with a play along CD to accompany the text. 128 useful pages!
