Linda Thomas has put together a nice introduction to the first lessons a jazz musician would need to learn to play the hammered dulcimer. Compact, easy to read and learn, this book will be invaluable to those jazz artists wanting to add a new instrument to their performances. The paperback comes with a play-along CD which contains 21 tracks. Some of the tracks include "All Through The Night," "The Ash Grove," "The Girl I Left Behind," among others. This is a nice & easy way to learn to play the instrument. Also comes with a tuning chart for 15/14 hammered dulcimer and tips for playing.
