There is a forward, preface, introduction, and ten chapters. Each chapter is a learning experience, and two chapters of special importance for performers are "Melody & Embellishment" and "Harmonic Forward Motion." A topnotch approach to jazz phrasing, musicians and readers alike will welcome this big book into their reference libraries. Nicely done.Hal Galper has put together an enjoyable learning guide in his FORWARD MOTION. It is about jazz phrasing and the way to do it correctly. A nice spiral-bound paperback for your reference library!
