LVX Nova by LVX Nova

The Jazz Review is dedicated to promoting the very best in Classic, Contemporary and Acid Jazz. However, there is a new realm of music that is taking off around the country, which is somewhat similar in style to acid jazz -- "Ambient/electronic". This album may be out of the scope of a devoted classic jazz listener, but to the acid or contemporary jazz fan I felt that this great new release is worth noting. Guitarist Bobby DeVito and keyboardist / programmer Mike Meengs team up to bring us a sensational mix of music that will make you open up your listening mind and explore new methods of music.

The album originated as a college thesis for DeVito while at New College of the University of South Florida who with Meengs formally with Sonic Erotica (A local Florida group) came together to form a group that you will not soon forget. These two talented musicians have established a unique flow of unobstructed music for your listening pleasure. This combination of great rock/blues guitar playing mingled with creative keyboarding and intertwined with some interesting samples, fashions a musical ambience that takes you to places you've truly never been before. I enjoyed the originality expressed in LVX's music and found it quite refreshing in this world of remakes.

This is a album that you will definitely want to experience for yourself. Enjoy the ride!
