Scuse Me by Deborah J. Carter

As a press kit was not issued with this CD, I'm at a loss to provide background information on this vocalist/keyboardist. The recording was made in the Netherlands last year and is composed of 13 tunes, many of which are Deborah Carter originals. Accompanied by a quartet and several guest musicians, Ms. Carter displays a varied number of styles and wonderful voice control.

Her own composition, 'Scuse Me", shows that this performer really has the ability to "scat" with the best. "Sabado" demonstrates Deborah's ability to perform in the style of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. A nice album but not outstanding.
