This CD will have a great appeal to those who enjoy jazz vocals with a solid big band feel! Every performer shines brightly on this collection of standards, and it is a highly enjoyable outing with Jerry Grillo singing such songs as "The Way You Look Tonight," "Mack The Knife," "Softly As I Leave You," "Boogie Blues," among others.

Rarely heard in vocal form, and done here with great feeling and beauty by Jerry Grillo and the Nick Contorno Orchestra is the Luiz Bonfa/Matt Dubey Brazilian classic titled "The Gentle Rain." Another great song given a special emotional performance by Jerry Grillo is the Anthony Newley/Leslie Bricusse classic, "What Kind Of Fool Am I."

There are 11 selections on this entertaining CD, and there is something nice for listening for all jazz fans on this collection! Jerry Grillo and the Nick Contorno Orchestra are in top form in this excellent collection of jazz favorites.
