Dotsero is made of up three fine musicians, Stephen Watts on tenor and soprano saxophones, Michael Friedman on fretted and fretless bass, and David Watts on electric and acoustic guitars. Guest musicians on this CD are Russ Freeman on acoustic guitar solo on "Staring At The Ceiling," Kip Kuepper on keyboards, synthesizers and rhythm programming on "Then There Was You," and Bill Heller on keyboards, synthesizers, and rhythm programming. Selections were recorded at Cheyenne Mountain Ranch at Woodland Park, Colorado. There are many original compositions on the CD, and each jazz listener will find his or her favorites!
"Lodo Mojo," "Two Of A Kind," "Staring At The Ceiling," are three of the outstanding performances, and the remaining performances also sparkle with much creativity! A favorite for listening: "Late At Night."
Dotsero is a tight, flawless trio, one that produces a clean, inventive sound, and WEST OF WESTCHESTER highlights their fine talents. An enjoyable CD from beginning to end. Memorable solo work on all selections. Excellent piano solos!
