Feather on the Wind by Golana

FEATHER ON THE WIND is an amazing collection of new age jazz and world music combined, extremely well-crafted musically, and smooth to listen to. For those jazz fans of the flute, this CD by flute master, Golana, (this is the American Indian name for Scott Cunningham) will be a much looked-for delight to have in the home CD collection.

Everything about this CD speaks of creativity and harmony. David Chamberlin on various instruments also appears with Golana, as does Cameron Stone on cello. The flute Golana performs on with such masterly sounds is a Native American flute!

Compositions are by Golana, some of the titles being "Closer to You," "Mojave Morning," "Soft Winds," "Above the Sky," and the hauntingly beautiful "Feather on the Wind." If you like jazz flute music and/or Native American flute music with a mellow world music approach, you will find this one of the most unusual CDs of its kind released in recent years. FEATHER ON THE WIND delivers in the most imaginative and unique ways, a moveable feast for those who take the time to listen and savor its subtle beauty of sound. FEATHER ON THE WIND is wonderful musical journey to spend some time with. Excellent.
