Meditations by C. Lanzbom

C Lanzbom has a great talent, and that talent is well-expressed in his new acoustic guitar CD release titled MEDITATIONS. It is world music with a blending of contemporary jazz, folk, and new age jazz.

C Lanzbom is a flawless performer, and this CD showcases his guitar talents. One could compare his playing in a highly favorable way to Ottmar Liebert. C Lanzbom's fret skill is flawless, perfect, and gentle.

This is a long, satisfying, enjoyable CD with 12 selections, some songs having running times of over six minutes. Songs include C Lanzbom's "We Can Begin," "Lecha Dodi," "Yaer," "Song For Cindy," C Lanzbom's "A Day Off," among others. Miri Ben-Ari is a standout in solo performances with violin, and so are Darren Solomon on bass, Darius Kaufman on flute, Park Stickney on stringed harp, and Mark Ambrosino on snare. An excellent gathering of first-class musicians!

MEDITATIONS is the special kind of jazz CD that grows on the listener with its unusual jazz motifs and stylings, something to enjoy again and again. C Lanzbom is a guitar master. Excellent!
