Jazz Now by BET on Jazz

I love compilation CD's because you get to hear a lot of artists. Some you may have never heard of before. But this CD was great * from Chris Potter's "Gratitude" to Flora Purim's "San Francisco River" to Chico Hamilton's "Outrageous." Other artists include: Eric Alexander, Leon Parker's, Lew Del Gatto, Terence Blanchard with Jan Monheit, Ed Calle whose "Spanish Rose" put me in a romantic mood and Pat Martino with Joey DeFrancesco on "Recollection" got me dancing. Kenny Barron and Regina Carter do a wonderful song, "Shades of Gray." Its absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I'd say more but you need to go and buy this one for yourself. And you'll be pleasantly surprised and so will your ears.
