ATRIA and Atria, two as one, sound invention plus intriguing solo performances. Recorded live during November of 2000 at Cerritos, California, this group puts together a nice, clean, imaginative contemporary jazz sound.

Members of Atria contribute the songs, and each song is intense in its unencumbered yet distinctly mellow and direct approach to melody. Songs include "Toro," "Something You Said," "Mental Floss," "Endo/Exo," "Six Fix," "Arjuna's Dilemma" (a most invigorating and intricate piece of jazz music!), and "What You Meant To Say."

"Arjuna's Dilemma" is a song that will see airplay soon, for it is the type of good jazz good jazz radio stations want to play for their listening audiences. What a song!

Atria gives us an entertaining adventure on ATRIA. Excellent.
