Sheila E. and the E-Train have returned with a new CD collection titled HEAVEN, and it is precisely that! Drummer, vocalist, percussionist, songwriter, arranger and producer, Sheila E brings us a 12 selection CD that contains a special gem of a song headed for jazz stardom titled "Heaven" which should be on jazz stations now! Another fine tune written by Sheila E. is the intricate "Bahia," which should attract even more fans to her following.

Songs include: "Anticipation," "Joy," "Heaven," "Waiting For You," "Slight Accent," "I Can Go On," "Bahia," "Who Is Taking Care Of You?," "Trust Me," "Closer," "River God," and "Revelation." The song, "River God," will surprise a lot of listeners with its uniqueness, and with a running time of 6:18 minutes it is a showcase for Sheila E. and the E-Train.

There is some creative organ music in this CD, and each performer is at her or his best. Lynn Mabry turns in fine performances whenever she appears.
