Freddie Ravel is respected as one of the most outstanding keyboard players, composers, and producers in contemporary music and has recorded or performed with many great artists.

For his self-titled 11-track debut, "Freddie Ravel," Freddie deepens the Latin spin on contemporary jazz that he began on his previous solo outings. Ravel has created a fiery and sensual new album, founded on the pulse and drive of tropical rhythms from cumbia to tango to salsa, rumba, flamenco, meringue, and samba.

Ravel expands his talent base by incorporating Earth, Wind & Fire's bassist Verdine White and guitarist Al McKay; gypsy guitar duo Strunz & Farah; original Miami Sound Machine percussionist Rafael Padilla; bassist Jimmy Earl, guitarist Michael O'Neill; and longtime smooth jazz associates Peter White, Eric Marienthal, and GRP labelmate Marc Antoine into his tracks.

From the dreamy "Bolerino Bella" to the retro-soul "Conversations," Ravel's self-titled debut is notable to both Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish speaking audiences alike.
