Sheer Sound of South Africa brings us the sounds of Ernie Smith on the new CD release, CHILD OF THE LIGHT, which is a smooth blend of contemporary jazz, smooth jazz, and world music. CHILD OF THE LIGHT contains 13 selections.

Ernie Smith is a vocalist, plays the keyboards and the guitar, does percussion, and is a composer. His talents are readily seen on this CD.

Selections include "Lonely," "Thapelo Yaka (My Prayer)," Crazy, (intro)" "Crazy," "If Only You Were Here," "Come Dance," "Child of the Light," "Mary Kate," "Wentworth," "Everything About You," "Invitation," "An African Lullaby," and "Child of the Light." Each song is intimately pleasing and expresses some fine jazz motifs.
