No samples, loops or techno here, this is an album you need to walk in like a new pair of shoes. It is a gentle understated work, mellow rather than moody, and for some it may seem a little slow, others will recognize the sun-washed vintage that it is. The fourteen tracks are an interesting mix from a man who knows a thing or two about stringed instruments, producer Jimmy Haslip, legendary bass player with the "Yellowjackets". If strings are your thing this one will make you sit up and listen.
