Texas Justice by Kay Kay and The Rays

One never knows what to expect from Kay Kay Greenwade and her band. Her last CD, Lucky 7 featured guest Abner Burnett. This time she has gathered guitarists Johnny Rawls and Andrew "Jr. Boy" Jones for her "Texas Justice" session.

Greenwade’s gutsy and soulful voice is put to good use on every track. The material is original and composed by members of the Texas group. There are no worn out clichés on this presentation. The band is exciting and the lyrics are great. I liked the heartfelt "Keep On Running Away" penned by bassist/ producer, Bob Trenchard.

The music written and performed by this group can be very, very bitter as evidence, Texas Justice, Billy’s Story and Double Standard. The band from Kermit, Texas is a breath of fresh air.
