Namaste by Jerry Peraza

NAMASTE is a nice debut CD collection by drummer/percussionist Jerry A Peraza, and showcases his varied styles as a multi-instrumentalist. The CD contains 11 selections.

The songs reveal the talents of Jerry Peraza as a gifted composer in such creative settings as "The Sunday Ride," "Cazadero," "BoBo," "Yaqui Strut," "Daniel Kane," "Geronimo," "11:11," "Rattlesnake Duel," "Sloppy Joe," "Desmo 748," and the intricate "Namaste." "Yaqui Strut" deserves radio airplay time for its unique guitar jazz motifs.

What makes this debut collection work well is its fresh and lively approach, the musical performances, and its original material. There is a genuine sincerity in this collection that sets it apart from many CD debuts!

Peraza also performs on bass and guitar, and he is good. For some good entertainment, try Peraza's NAMASTE, you won't be disappointed. Enjoyable!
