A nice blend of big band with straight-ahead/classic motifs makes this a fine listening entry for the jazz audience. Excellent performances make this a CD you will enjoy owning and playing often.

There are nine songs in the collection. All compositions and arrangements are by Bruno Raberg, a highly gifted acoustic bass performer.

Among the songs are "Snowaltz," "Nightfall," "Chrysalis," "Silhouettes," and "Yellow Bus." Each song is unique as is the performance. Fine solo work abounds.

CHRYSALIS is a memorable jazz CD. It is one you will enjoying having for repeated listenings.
