Gilbert Mulamba is a self-taught keyboardist and a native of Congo. Now living in Raleigh, NC, he pursues his passion for music and spiritual service.

As a pianist with one of the largest churches in Central Africa, Mulamba was often labeled The Worship Musician. Upon moving to the USA, he spent a number of years as a research scientist at the Harvard Medical School in Boston.

With his debut CD, Gilbert Mulamba exhibits his keyboard skills in a "smooth jazz" environment and his African roots come to the forefront. Saxophone and background vocal arrangements by Paul Tsasa add nicely to this instrumental session. The CD has considerable crossover appeal and will be enjoyed by most fans of contemporary and smooth jazz.
