Latino jazz guitarist Pablo Menendez gives us an alchemist's mixture of all the solid elements that make up strong jazz.......Blues, Afro-Cuban, Latin, et al. His music is wistful, dissonant, unconventional, harmonic, etc. A lot of idioms are represented here, all presented with exuberance & excitement, & of course climax, thanks to the cumulative effect of Pablo's dynamic musical qualities. This disc is both an esthetic journey, & a sensuous variety of music that can only be classified as 'emotional.'
