Out of Nowhere by Two Siberians

World music influences with jazz motifs make OUT OF NOWHERE a most unique entry in the world of contemporary jazz expression. Featuring the virtuosic electric-string duo of Yuri Matveyev and Artyom Yakushenko, guest artists include Michael Brecker, Richard Bona, Don Byron, Mino Cinetu, Steve Barrios, Matt Garrison, Nina Hennessey, and George Whitty.

Each track is uniquely creative with fine performances. With a total running time of 53:49 minutes, this CD contains an entertaining collection of fifteen songs, each one unusual and enjoyable. Among the many creative songs are found "Cagey Bee," "Come with Me Anyway," "Natasha, Havana," "Amoroso," "New Russian," "Indigo Breeze," "Out of Nowhere," and "Evidence of Things Not Seen." "Indigo Breeze" will capture the audience quickly and is an excellent song for airplay on radio.

For something unusual in its directness and enjoyment, this duo does it right and their OUT OF NOWHERE is a winner in all regards. Highly recommended.
