Smooth grooves and tender moves open this CD as Keith Newton expresses his many faceted personality through original tunes, beginning with Groove 4U.

No stranger to the music scene, Newton received his Masters in Music at Ohio State University after spending earlier years as a middle school band director.

Now the world gets to share another side of Keith Newton with his sensual tunes on sax

Since You Seem So Far Away is a slow, thoughtful piece lots of room for reminiscing. Yet, this song isn’t melancholy just heartfelt. Newton also displays a wide range on sax, almost a Kenny G sound during this tune.

Kicking it up a notch, Newton comes back with the peppy You Should Be My girlfriend, with swinging vocals backed by airy inflections.

Taking the sound a little deeper Shock The World explores new rhythms, giving a fresh edge to Newton’s composition. Pushing the envelope, each note is explored and each note soars.

Boring routine and sameness is not what you will find on this album. Each song brings fresh twists and turns. Some smooth and tender. Others are spunky.

The more you listen to these songs, the more you want to hear them, again.

Newton brings an innocent newness to his arrangements; A feeling of exploration and robust belief in the music he creates.

Chosen by the consummate professionals for touring gigs, Keith has his own fan club.

Keith has worked with T.S. Monk, The Afro-Rican Ensemble, Dave Mathews Cover Band, Wynton Marsalis, Jewel, Kirk Whalum, Bare Naked Ladies and more.

TS Monk says, "This kid is a piece of work. You’ve gotta’ hear him."

From Winston Byrd, "I’m proud to know this guy. He’s going to uplift the music to beyond tumultuous levels. He’s a world class player".

Dave Kaelin, WNCI Morning Zoo: "Keith is closer to Jr. Walker than Kenny G. The soul is there, and from a much older time."
