So It Goes introduces the jazz acoustic bass and compositions of Daniel Ori to a wide jazz listening audience, and it is an original, refreshing CD collection that has much to offer its listeners. The music is imaginative, crisp, solid, and highly harmonic.

Daniel Ori is an Israel bassist and composer. He infuses world themes with contemporary jazz themes, creating some wonderfully imaginative approaches, and excellent performances. His group is perfect, each performer a topnotch musician. Gabiel Guerrero gives the listening audience superb piano stylings alongside the creative genius of Daniel Ori on bass, with Uri Gurvich's fine alto saxophone performances and the creative performances of Eric Doob on drums, Marcelo Woloski on percussions, and Jeff Miles on guitar rounding out this group.

There are eight brilliant jazz gems with matching performances on this memorable CD. The songs are "On A Tin Floor," "Susurrus," "Usul," "Manna Blues," "Lean," "So It Goes," "Heat," and "Morning to Evening."

If you are new to Daniel Ori and his sound, this is a fine introduction to what he composes and how he performs. First rate peformances all the way, this is one special entertaining CD which will give many years of enjoyable repeat listenings. This would make an ideal gift for a friend and a fine addition to any public library jazz collection.

This is an excellent collection. Daniel Ori has what it takes to sustain a long playing and composing career in contemporary jazz. Highly recommended.
