The Jazz Review has been approved by the Barbados Tourism Authority to cover the 17th Annual Barbados Jazz Festival.

Watching Elio Villafranca last night, January 14, 2010, at the post Crane Resort and Residences (St. Philip) for the Barbados Jazz Festival was a sumptuous buffet of Cuban and jazz flavors. Last night, January 15, 2010, Lalah Hathaway and band performed a touch of jazz and ample servings of R&B at the Barbados Jazz Festival.

The concert for the evening was held on the picturesque grounds of the residence of the Barbados Prime Minister (David Thompson) at Ilaro Court in St. Michael. January 17, 2010 events at the Barbados Jazz Festival were held at Farley Hill National Park in St. Peter. The location is held atop a beautiful cliffside park with a scenic view below of the water, beach and rolling hills that is just a short walk from the bandstand.
