Blues For A Saint Called Louis

Delmark recording artist Malachi Thompson and his critically acclaimed Africa Brass ensemble is planning a spring/summer tour. The tour will highlight Thompson's new composition, "Blues For A Saint Called Louis" which celebrates the 100th year of the birth of jazz icon Louis Armstrong. This is the music from the EMMY award winning documentary "Remembering 47th Street" from the WTTW series Chicago Stories.

Africa Brass presents a program of jazz from ragtime to Bebop and has toured around the midwest from Michigan to Texas. "Blues For A Saint Called Louis" was heard last year on the Chicago Blues Festival and the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival in Davenport, Iowa and was received with standing ovations.
