Between Two Moments is an album of subtlety and restraint punctuated by bursts of jagged energy driven by Colin Hopkins’ interplay with the adventurous rhythmic approach of Tony Floyd and Belinda Moody. It is an album which works as a whole, presenting the listener with a musical journey ranging from the sublimely melodic Kenny Wheeler tribute, My Gnu Idea to the sparse beauty of the duet, Song, and the driving energy of Waltz#2.
