Pop Jazz Blues Diva, Suede

Jazz lovers agree that Suede's "On The Day We Met" CD, released in 2001, and recorded at the BIRCHMERE, is definitely one of the best! Al Santos, from 105.9 WJZW, ranked this CD #1 on his top-20 list for 2001; he also ranked the cut "Emily Remembers" (a beautiful song about true love) #6 on his top 50 songs for 2001. Suede's crystal clear voice and amazing range blend smoothly with David Pearl on piano and Max Murray on bass. If you get a chance to go to a live show grab it, as they are phenomenal!

Imagine a cross between Ella Fitzgerald and Bette Midler, throw in a little Rosie Clooney, add a dash of Louis Armstrong, and you might get some idea of Suede's unique musical talents and abilities.
