Ruben Blades features Mundo

This month singer, actor and politician Ruben Blades releases Mundo(Sony Music 2002) his more inventive record to date, in Mundo blades explores Hindu, Celtic, Afrocaribean Sound with musicians of Brazil - Boca Livbre, Ireland - Eric Righer and Costa Rica - Editus. The title Mundo means a world without racism because everybody had the same backgrounds. Mundo features a cover of Pat Metheny First Circle in Blades style and a interpretation of Oriente of Gilberto Gil renamed Consideration and a Irish traditional song called Danny Boy as tribute to the victims of September 11.

With this album Blades close a Trilogy of explorations records beginning with grammys award albums La rosa De los Vientos recorded in Panama with only Panamanian musicians and Tiempos recorded in Costa Rica with the trio of classical training musicians Editus. Others songs in Mundo are: Primogenio, Ella, Estampa, Sebastian and others.
