TV Jazz Series Adds Time-Slot

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONTACT: William Rocker

FEATURED ARTIST: G. F. Mlely [simply sound out the letters]

The video series, JAZZ PIANO, featuring the internationally-acclaimed pianist-composer G. F. Mlely, adds a new time-slot on Olelo Television of Hawaii. Continuing its year-long run each Friday at 6:00pm-6:30pm, it now broadcasts in an additional time-slot on Tuesdays at 2:30pm-3:00pm on Channel 52.

Among worldwide accolades describing this artist are those from Ben Ohmart (Assistant Editor, MusicDish, the online music industry journal), who writes of the series and the featured artist

"Mlely ... a very fine jazz pianist ... has that annoying ability, like Chico Marx, to make playing seem so insanely easy... A delight to watch... Which is good, because that's mainly what this series of 15 minute segments [paired into 1/2-hour shows on Olelo] seems to be. It's not How to play. Or even history really. It's more or less an appreciation of the form. A short break from life to catch a jazz cat at work...He has a love for the subject, and he certainly communicates that effectively. The time on the keys was a joy to behold."

Released in conjunction with the video series, is the new CD, RE-ENTRY, first of a 4-CD package, THE FINE ART OF JAZZ PIANO. Of that release, Lee Prosser of Jazzreview.com writes,

"The genius of G. F. Mlely ... gives the performance of a lifetime on this solo piano outing, and it is an excellent CD for the jazz listener. RE-ENTRY is solo piano at its best, and this is a magnificent collection of performances by G. F. Mlely! Five stars."
