The night (dubbed "Will Bernard and Otherbug") is being built around Will Bernard, an amazing guitarist out of San Francisco. Will has been involved with a host of boundary stretching groups, ranging from jazz, hip hop and world music to experimental music, with many stops in between. He has performed and recorded with Jai Uttal and the Pagan Love Orchestra, Peter Apfelbaum's various band incarnations, Beth Custer, The Coup, and Midnight Voices to name a few. In addition, Will’s music friends include DJ Logic, Robert Walter, Les Claypool and Josh Roseman. Perhaps his biggest project thus far was his collaboration with Charlie Hunter, called TJ Kirk, whose 2nd record for Warner Bros. "If Four Was One" was nominated for a Grammy in 1997. Currently Will heads up Will Bernard and Motherbug based in San Francisco.

Behind Will, will be bassist Matt Rubano, drummer Deantoni Parks, keyboardist Adam Klipple and trombonist Josh Roseman.

Matt Rubano is a well-known bassist on the NYC scene (in addition to being well known elsewhere). Among his numerous musical accomplishments, Matt has recorded with Lauryn Hill (who has won awards such as Soul Train Music Award Winner: R&B/Soul Single and American Music Awards Favorite Female Artist) on the album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," an album which won the American Music Award’s Favorite Album, and was certified MULTI-PLATINUM (8x) by the RIAA. He is also a former member of Shleigho, a young, talented quartet from the NYC area, who was recently signed to Flying Frog Records (headed by Butch Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band). He has toured with Project Logic (headed up by the enormously popular NYC local, DJ Logic), and is currently playing with The Bomb Squad, a band now led by Jen Durkin former lead singer of Deep Banana Blackout.

On drums is Deantoni Parks. Deantoni was tapped to play drums with the High School Varsity jazz band in his hometown before he was ten years old. His technical skill takes rhythms from the digital realm and allows them to breathe through real drums. A life-long immersion in the world of jazz has given his playing immense musicality. Parks is currently the drummer for Velour recording artists Kudu. He has also recorded with DJ Logic on Anomaly. Most recently he was seen on stage with Eric Krasno and DJ Logic, opening for Living Colour at Irving Plaza over the Thanksgiving holiday.

On keys we have Adam Klipple. Adam has been described as "a standout pianist who has gone to school on McCoy Tyner and Cecil Taylor and earned his degree." In addition to the piano, he also plays Hammond organ, sampler and a variety of vintage keyboards. Adam may be best known for his touring and recording work with Michael Ray and the Cosmic Krewe. His credits also include performances with the Sun Ra Arkestra, Marc Ribot, John Medeski, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Dave Fiuczynski, David Gilmore, Josh Roseman, Peter Apfelbaum, Rachel Z, Dougie Bowne, Alfonzo Blackwell, and Smokey Robinson

Last but not least, we have Josh Roseman on trombone, who in addition to being a co-founder of the Groove Collective and the Brooklyn Funk Essentials, has also played with artists like the Roots, Cibo Matto, MMW, Charlie Hunter, Sean Lennon, Wynton Marsalis, Michael Ray & the Kosmic Krewe and Me'Shell Ndegeocello. He currently has his own band in the city, Josh Roseman Unit.
