Leeds becomes home of the UKs prime spot for Jazz

Savile Studios, under the management of Savile and Chrome Ltd opened its doors in August 2010 and have already been accredited as the UK’s prime spot for Jazz. Working in close partnership with Jazz Yorkshire, the studios have launched Jazz Yorkshire £150/Day scheme which offers the members of the Jazz Community the facilities of Studio 1, the rehearsal room and an engineer at only £150 a day.

Savile and Chrome have already had renowned artists such as Tommy Evans, IDST, and the award winning artist Ellie Goulding recording at their studios. It is also the home of the Yorkshire Jazz Orchestra who is sponsored by Savile and Chrome Ltd.

Savile Studios also offer photo, video and graphic design facilities to individuals and companies. ‘It is not unusual for a recording artist to walk into our 2849 Sq ft studios and leave with a recording album, CD case, photography portfolio, and music video’ says Isi Abebe, the Managing Director of Savile and Chrome.

The Studios have recently sealed a partnership deal with The Spin Off, one of the premier jazz clubs, and The Yorkshire Jazz Orchestra.

Nigel Slee, Development Manager of Jazz Yorkshire says Savile Studios is their first choice for recording acoustic jazz.

Savile Studios also offer concessions for students studying jazz at the Leeds College of Music. For more information please visit Savile and Chrome website at www.savilestudios.com or call Leeds Media Centre on 0113 2007000.
